This is what the Cold Steel GI Tanto finally took to tear out the edge The knife was pounded with a 3 lb steel mallet into 1/4" thick angle iron. The blade still did not break during this. You can see the angle iron bent from all the impact force. The edge is very tightly wedged in. Tools must be used to remove it.
